Book Club can be Informal Fun

Want to Start a “No Pressure” Book Club?

You don't have to commit to a monthly organized event.
There's nothing wrong with a busy group of mom's or career gals planning an adhoc book club get-together now and again. It's a great reason to get together, keeps the conversation light, and inspires thinking not aligned to any to-do's begging for attention, and that means better life balance.
Here’s a simple formula that works:
Choose a book you’re excited about
Pick a date 3–5 weeks out
Keep the gathering to 60–90 minutes max and stick to it.
Invite 4–8 friends
Provide one easy question list -or- give each member an index card and markers for them to write the one word that describes what they liked best in the book as a conversation starter
Assign what to bring on Book Club night to spread the host duties. Keep it simple.
Laugh a lot, and don’t worry about being “official”
