DIY Stove-top Simmering Potpourri Gift Idea

Gather the ingredients and mix and match them to make your own holiday stove top potpourri scent-sation as a gift. Pretty and pleasing, too.


Packaging ideas:

  • small mason jar,

  • flower pot

  • loosely tie in circle of tulle

  • tuck into a cute gift bag.

Ta-daa!


Use one of the recipes below or mix whatever you have in the kitchen.


LEMON CINNAMON SPICE

1 sprig of fresh rosemary + 2 cinnamon sticks + peel of one lemon = 1 jar of potpourri




FRESH CHRISTMAS TREE

2 peppermint candies + 2 sprigs of pine + 2 cinnamon sticks = 1 jar of potpourri





CITRUS SPICE & EVERYTHING NICE

1 orange quartered + 1 TBSP cloves + cinnamon = 1 jar of potpourri



HOLIDAY MIX

2 cinnamon sticks + 2 sprig of pine + 1 TBSP. of whole cloves + 1 whole nutmeg + 1/3 cup cranberries + 1 star anise pod + 1 orange = 1 jar of potpourri.
