The “cozy traditions & Simple Things” Planner

GOAL: Make your home feel festive without chaos, start one or two new traditions, and sprinkle in a little kindness.
Check off each day as you complete it to your satisfaction.
(☐) THe beginning of this week – Entryway Welcome
Task: Tidy the entry and add one simple Christmas touch
Hang a wreath or swag on the door
Set a small bowl or basket for Christmas cards
Optional “extra”: Put a small basket by the door for gloves/hats so mornings are easier.
(☐) Wednesday Dec 10 – Hot Cocoa & Comfort
Task: Create a tiny Hot Cocoa Station
Gather mugs, cocoa mix, marshmallows, candy canes, and a small spoon in one spot
Make it fancy: Setup marshmallows, peppermint sticks, chocolate wafers or whatever you like to add to your cocoa to make it holiday special.
Kindness angle: Make an extra jar of cocoa mix and set it aside for a teacher, delivery driver, or neighbor later in the month.
(☐) Thursday Dec 11 – Ornament or Tag Craft Night
Task: Pick a simple craft that doesn’t require perfection
Salt dough ornaments
Hand-stamped gift tags
Paper snowflakes for windows
Family/Friends Idea: Turn on Christmas music, craft for an hour, and let “good enough” be the goal.
(☐) FRIDAY Dec 12 – Neighbors & Notes
Task: Do one small act of kindness
Write a short note or Christmas card to a neighbor, widow, or friend who might feel forgotten
Drop off store-bought cookies or a snack if baking isn’t in the cards
Prompt to use: “You’ve been on my mind, and I just wanted you to know you’re appreciated. Happy Holidays!”
(☐) Saturday – Tree-Trimming & Memories
Task: Have a tree or mantle night
Finish decorating the tree or focus on one area like the mantle or a bookshelf
Memory Moment: Share one short story tied to a favorite piece.
If you’re solo, jot those memories in a notebook to treasure.
(☐) Sunday– Rest & Reset
Task: Light a candle, play quiet music, and take 15 minutes to breathe and look around your home
Notice what’s done instead of what isn’t!!!
Journal Prompt:
“What mattered most to me this week?”
“Where can I simplify even more next week?”
